Known Limitations
GoVast is still pre-release. Here's what it honestly can't do yet, so there are no surprises at install time.
- Windows only at launch — macOS and Linux aren't planned yet.
- Per-destination transcoding (a different resolution/bitrate than your source) currently needs an NVIDIA GPU. Pass-through (Match Source) works on any hardware that can already run OBS or Streamlabs.
- The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will likely show an "unknown publisher" warning on first run.
- Built for one streamer running their own instance, not a multi-user hosted service.
- No auto-update yet — updating means downloading and running the latest installer yourself.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is GoVast available yet?
Not yet — it's in active development. Join the waitlist on the Download page and we'll email you the moment it launches.
What platforms does GoVast support?
Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and X, with more destinations planned over time.
Where does my data live?
On your own computer. GoVast is self-hosted — your stream keys, destinations, and history are stored locally, not on a GoVast-operated server. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I fully remove my data?
Uninstalling GoVast removes the application but currently leaves its local data folder in place. To delete it yourself: press Win+R, enter %appdata%\MultiStream, and delete that folder — this removes your stored stream keys, tokens, and history permanently.
What hardware do I need?
Any Windows PC running OBS or Streamlabs today can run GoVast for pass-through multistreaming (sending your existing feed to every destination as-is, no extra encode). Setting a different resolution or bitrate for an individual destination triggers a re-encode for just that one, which currently requires an NVIDIA GPU (NVENC).
